Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) has gone live with the MyChart patient portal. This new health records system helps providers and patients securely communicate with one another and more efficiently manage their health visits.
MyChart is the patient portal developed by Epic, the most widely used comprehensive health records system in the United States.
“This system is used by a majority of top-ranked hospitals and medical schools and aligns with our organizational mission,” said ARMC Hospital Director, William Gilbert.
ARMC patients can now use MyChart’s intuitive platform to easily access their test results, schedule appointments, make payments, and engage with their providers at any time. Providers will offer ongoing assistance with tools including MyChart Care Companion and MyChart Bedside, helping patients to access important information and receive necessary assistance from their homes.
“Having this electronic health record will unify the health care delivery across our system,” said Ron Taber, Associate Hospital Administrator.
This integrated new system will enable ARMC’s staff to save time and money through online records, paperless statements, and other billing features. Electronic systems such as eCheck-in and E-visit will empower patients to handle registration and routine tasks with minimal assistance and give providers more time to address complex issues.
