During the prolonged power outage in Grand Terrace, three local businesses went above and beyond to support their community. Christy McGuire of Get Loaded Guns and Ammo, Chris Watkins of Loud Burger, and Jason Greeley of Lowbrow Ink Tattoo and Piercing opened their doors to the public—often outside their normal business hours—to offer vital resources such as warming areas, charging stations, and more.

As homes plunged into darkness and temperatures dropped, these community leaders stepped in to fill the gap. Residents were able to charge phones, laptops, and medical devices while enjoying the warmth and comfort of these safe havens. Their selflessness provided not only practical relief but also a sense of hope and camaraderie during a challenging time.

“We saw the need and knew we had to step up,” said Jason Greeley of Lowbrow Ink. Christy McGuire echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of being there for the community. Chris Watkins of Loud Burger added, “We’re more than businesses—we’re part of this town, and helping each other is what we do.”

These acts of kindness showcased the true spirit of Grand Terrace. Whether it was providing a place to stay warm or simply a spot to charge a phone, the efforts of McGuire, Watkins, and Greeley highlighted what it means to be good neighbors and community leaders.

As the city recovers from the outage, the gratitude of its residents remains strong. These three businesses have proven that their role extends far beyond their storefronts—they are pillars of support, compassion, and resilience in Grand Terrace.
