Ezekiel “Eze” Jahen, an 18 year old Senior at Grand Terrace High School, has established himself as a dedicated student athlete, balancing academic success with a long standing passion for sports. Maintaining a strong 3.5 GPA, Eze continues to demonstrate discipline and commitment both in the classroom and on the field.

Eze’s athletic journey spans most of his life. He has played baseball for 15 years and, prior to attending GTHS, also spent three years playing soccer beginning at the age of three. On the baseball field, he contributes as both an outfielder and infielder, showcasing versatility and a deep understanding of the game.

Throughout his high school career, Eze has faced challenges, but his resilience has defined him. Despite adversity, he has remained focused, maintaining a positive mindset and trusting the process. His perseverance has translated into notable success, including earning First Team All-League honors during both his Sophomore and Junior years, being named Team MVP his Junior year, and achieving recognition on the Principal’s Honor Roll.

Outside of athletics, Eze enjoys spending his time playing video games and listening to music, finding balance amid a demanding schedule.

When asked about his motivation, Eze credits his parents as his greatest influence. “My biggest influence has always been my parents because of all the hard work they have put in and the sacrifices they made so that I could continue to play this game I love,” he shared.

Looking ahead, Eze plans to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level, with aspirations of playing for as long as possible and ultimately pursuing the opportunity to be drafted.

He leaves others with a message rooted in faith and perseverance: “Don’t let the thought of being the underdog discourage you from chasing what you love. Have faith, trust the process, and always keep your head high.”

Eze also reflects on his journey with a meaningful quote: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” — Romans 8:18

With his determination, work ethic, and positive outlook, Ezekiel “Eze” Jahen represents the very best of Grand Terrace High School. His future is bright, and this Titan’s journey is only just beginning.
