This year’s Powderpuff games at the Grand Terrace High School stadium on February 11, 2025, were nothing short of exhilarating. The Lady Titans had only three days to practice after school, but they came prepared with a game plan, ready to compete for the championship title.

The tournament format featured four teams, each representing a graduating class: the Class of 2028 (Freshmen), Class of 2027 (Sophomores), Class of 2026 (Juniors), and Class of 2025 (Seniors). The winners of the initial matchups advanced to the championship game, while the runner-ups faced off against each other in a consolation match.

Family and friends filled the stands, cheering on the teams as they fought for victory. The final showdown came down to the Class of 2025 versus the Class of 2027. Both teams played with determination, but in the end, the Seniors secured the win, proving once again that they were the top class on campus.

It came down to the Championship Victory for the Class of 2025! Great hustle Seniors!!

The Class of 2025 coaching staff, including Ramses Muñoz, Maximus Rosales, Exzavior Oliver, and Richard Moss, played a crucial role in their team’s success. Their strategy focused on clear communication, utilizing headsets to keep track of substitutions and play calls. Their goal was not just to win but to dominate both the Sophomores and Juniors, cementing their status as the best class at GTHS.

The Senior team, made up of standout players such as Teniaya Jones, Savanna Ybarra, Kaleia Valdez, Lilyana Reyes, Elizabeth Hernandez, Kenzy Eden, Aundrea Molina, Mykhia Anderson, Viridiana Garcia Jacobo, Kayla Limon, Stacy Amoako, Lucianys Carvajal showcased exceptional teamwork and athleticism. Two players, Aundrea Molina and Stacy Amoako, were named MVPs for their outstanding performances. Aundrea led the team in scoring, while Stacy’s two key interceptions helped secure the victory.

Reflecting on their back-to-back Powderpuff championships, Ramses Muñoz stated, “Last year’s goal was to prove that we are the best and most athletic class. This year, it was about clarifying that we are still here, and nobody is going to take that from us! All business.”

Though some may not have expected the Class of 2025 to dominate for two consecutive years, the Seniors always believed in their abilities. From the start, they were confident in their athleticism and determined to prove it to everyone.

“It was such a great feeling to see everyone happy and enjoying the sport,” the Class of 2025 players shared. They left a lasting impression with a final message: “WE DA ONES GIVING L’s WE DON’T TAKE THOSE” – Mike Sherm.

While the Class of 2025 claimed the championship trophy and ultimate bragging rights, every team brought their best effort to the field. The competition was fierce, and the event was a thrilling showcase of school spirit and athleticism. Congratulations to all the Class of 2025 & all Lady Titans for an incredible Powderpuff tournament!
