Schedule changes are coming to Metrolink’s San Bernardino and Ventura County lines, beginning Monday, Jan. 26. Minor adjustments between Los Angeles and San Bernardino account for increased rail traffic along Metrolink’s busiest and most-traveled line, while changes on the Ventura County Line will provide customers more flexible afternoon options through Metrolink’s codeshare partnership with Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. More information is available at metrolinktrains.com/schedule-update.

WHAT: Starting on Jan. 26, all eastbound and some westbound Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains will begin their routes two minutes earlier than previously scheduled. Customers at station stops along the way will also see changes of up to two minutes across the full San Bernardino Line schedule.

Metrolink will add train 122 as an eastbound mid-afternoon option, leaving the Ventura-East Station at 3:18 p.m. and arriving at Los Angeles Union Station at 5:09 p.m. Eastbound train 118, which previously departed the Ventura-East Station at 1:39 p.m. en route to Los Angeles will be discontinued. In its place, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train A782 will operate on a similar schedule, departing the Ventura-Downtown/Beach Station at 1:31 p.m. Metrolink’s codeshare program allows ticketholders to ride Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains between LA Union Station and Ventura.

Meanwhile, westbound Ventura County Line train 121 out of Union Station will see its arrival times into Northridge, Chatsworth, Simi Valley and Moorpark shifted back slightly to allow for a regular Amtrak train to operate in the opposite direction. It will now arrive in Moorpark at 2:50 p.m., six minutes later than the current schedule. On Jan. 26, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner is also reinstating codeshare train A777, which will depart Los Angeles at 3:13 p.m., creating another option for Metrolink customers.

WHEN: Metrolink’s new schedule will take effect Monday, Jan. 26 to coincide with planned changes to the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner schedule.

WHERE: Metrolink’s Ventura County Line, which runs between Ventura and Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Line, serving travelers between Los Angeles and the Inland Empire

WHO: Changes will impact riders on Metrolink’s San Bernardino and Ventura County lines.

WHY: These schedule modifications improve coordination with other passenger and freight rail providers operating on Metrolink’s shared lines.
